taxthresholds.com aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Tax figures need to be usable by everyone who needs them, not just people using a mouse and a large screen.
What is in place
- Every interactive element, including calculator inputs and buttons, has a visible keyboard focus ring and is reachable by keyboard alone.
- Colour is never the only signal: warnings and results pair colour with text and, where relevant, an icon.
- Figures use a tabular-figure monospace font so numbers align in columns and are easier to scan and compare.
- Animation respects
prefers-reduced-motion; tool pages in particular carry near-zero motion by design. - Calculator forms use labelled inputs and native form controls rather than custom widgets where a native control will do.
Known limitations
This site is under active development. Some tool pages may not yet have been audited with a screen reader end to end. If you rely on assistive technology and hit a barrier, please report it using the details below, it will be treated as a priority fix.
Report a barrier
If any part of this site is difficult to use with a keyboard, screen reader, screen magnifier or other assistive technology, use the contact page to describe the problem, the page it happened on, and the browser or assistive technology you were using.
