Nothing on taxthresholds.com is tax, legal or financial advice. The site owner is not a credentialed tax professional, and using this site does not create an advisory, accountant-client or attorney-client relationship of any kind.
What this site does
Each tool takes the numbers you enter and applies a published rate, threshold or formula from HMRC or the IRS to calculate an estimate. Every figure used links to its primary source and shows the date it was last checked. The calculation, and the working behind it, is shown so you can verify it yourself line by line.
What this site does not do
It does not consider your full financial position. It does not know your complete income, deductions, elections, prior-year history or state-specific rules. It does not recommend a course of action, and it does not tell you what you should do. Two calculators showing you different totals under different structures, for example, is a comparison of the maths, not a recommendation to choose one.
Figures are estimates
Every result is an estimate based on the general rules published at the source cited on that page, as at the “last verified” date shown. It may not reflect your exact circumstances, elections you have made, transitional rules, or changes announced after that date. Thresholds, caps and rates in this document change, sometimes with retroactive effect. Treat every number as a starting point for your own checking, not a final answer.
Consult a qualified professional
Before making a decision that affects your tax position, filing obligations or business structure, consult a qualified, credentialed professional: a chartered accountant or tax adviser regulated in the UK, or a Certified Public Accountant, Enrolled Agent or tax attorney in the US. They can review your full circumstances in a way a calculator cannot.
No liability
The site owner accepts no liability for any loss arising from reliance on this site, including penalties, interest or missed deadlines. See the terms of use for the full limitation of liability.
Report an error
If you believe a figure on this site is wrong or out of date, please get in touch. A wrong number is treated as a priority correction, not a minor bug, and every correction is logged on the changelog.
